How to Design and Laser Cut a MTG Deck Box with a Gold Leaf Guild Symbol

In this episode, I apply the gold leaf skills I learned last time to a game related project: a Magic the Gathering deck box. I try a new metal leaf product, gilding flakes, in the guild symbols of my two boxes. I designed the boxes in Adobe Illustrator to match the dimensions of a standard deck box. The parts are laser cut out of birch plywood at my local makerspace and I painted them gloss black. The metal leaf is protected with multiple layers of clear coat. After learning a few lessons assembling the first box, I made minor modifications to the second, with excellent results!
